On the morning of July 16th 2011 life changed forever, when Caple; a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, competitive bicycle rider and successful aircraft engineer was hit by a drunk driver. This brought an untimely end to a promising young life, made his wife a widow and left his two-year old son fatherless. This traumatic event brought indescribable shock, pain, anguish and extreme emotional and psychological pain to many.
Prior to this life was filled with the love of family, many, many memories and our deep rooted faith in God. I don’t know how many of us truly appreciate those around us. What I do know is that when such a tragic event occurs our life is forever changed and nothing, absolutely nothing is ever the same again.
Dedicated to the memory of Caple Donovan Antonio Myers, this site is meant to encourage others who may have gone through a similar experience. I say similar because our grief is so different and situations and circumstances so varied that grief has many faces.
Many faces of grief manifest themselves in so many ways: despair, anguish, anger, pain, stoicism, continual sobbing and even numbness. Regardless, the one who created us, loves us so much that he is the only one that truly understands the pain, anguish and distress that grief can bring. It is important to understand that there is no way around it, we must go through it. Remembering and knowing in our heart God promises that “He will never leave us or forsake us” and that “He is a very present help in times of trouble.”
