Hi there and welcome. My name is Sharon Myers. I strongly believe a major part of serving God is blessing, supporting and reaching out to others. Thank you for visiting manyfacesofgrief.com. This has been a prayer and vision of mine since the traumatic and sudden death of my beloved brother Caple Donovan Antonio. I sincerely hope it will be a blessing and comfort to readers.
Background
I am proud to be a Christian, Jamaican-born Canadian, a loving wife and mother. I have kept a diary since I was thirteen years old and many of my entries were what encouraged me to start a blog today. The main reason for this blog is; when my brother died, I was both broken and lost. I found that although I needed support to cope, the offered support often fell short. The world offers many options for those who grieve as if they have no hope. As a believer (one with hope) there was little in they way of spirit filled counselling and support. I wish at that time, I had a forum to voice my emotions, cry out to God, and garner support from other believers who where also going through the grieving process. My hope is that I can now provide such support to those who need it.
Calling
I am a Christian who got saved when I was about six years old and I remember reaching out and witnessing to kids at early age. I have always been fascinated with psychology and how people feel and why these feelings cause them to manifest certain behaviour. I did not realize it then but God granted me the talent/gift to recognize those who are hurting to reach out to them and to offer much needed comfort and support.
Work
I am a trained teacher, counsellor, motivational speaker and coach who enjoys developing a rapport with and interacting with people. My second love is writing and sharing what I have learned from life experiences with others.
Family is Very Important to Me!
In July 2002 I married my best friend Rohan, the spouse God prepared for me. Together we have three amazing children who bring us joy each and every day. Outside of that I have a large, amazing close knit extended family who love the Lord and have always been very supportive. The memories created with them over time has sustained me at some of most challenging times in my life. Aside from my heavenly father there is nothing I love more than family. God has truly blessed me, and for that I truly thankful.
Thank you for sharing. I am glad to have met Caple. His life was a blessing. I pray that you and Mom & Dad continue to find strength as you remember your brother and their son. Hugs from my family to yours.
